Patty Venema
Patty Venema has been with the Snohomish Education Foundation since 2010, starting as a dedicated board member and now serving as the Office Administrator. Her journey with the foundation has been deeply fulfilling, allowing her to witness firsthand the positive impact it has on the community. Patty’s commitment to supporting public education began when her daughter entered 1st grade at Cathcart Elementary School. Since then, she’s seen both of her children thrive and eventually graduate from Glacier Peak High School, an experience that has only strengthened her belief in the importance of community involvement in education.
Patty and her husband both grew up in Kirkland, but chose to move to the Snohomish area several years ago to raise their family in a nurturing environment. Their decision was motivated by the strong sense of community and the excellent educational opportunities available there. Living on a small farm, Patty and her family have embraced the rural lifestyle and the values that come with it. Their farm keeps them busy and connected to nature, providing a peaceful backdrop for their lives.
Patty is constantly inspired by the dedication of her fellow board members, volunteers, and the broader community. Together, they are fostering an environment where children can thrive academically and personally. Seeing the direct impact of the foundation’s efforts on students’ lives reaffirms her belief that strong community support for education is essential.
Patty’s experiences with the Snohomish Education Foundation have deepened her appreciation for the power of community and the vital role it plays in shaping the next generation. She is proud to be part of an organization that is making a real difference, and looks forward to continuing this important work for many years to come.
